The Outdoor Color Scheme Continues Indoors
"The most important thing with colors is that they should always be chosen in relation to the environment. Colors can’t be controlled remotely; they need to be selected in the space where they will be used. The color of your home’s walls is in close interaction with the view from the windows. Especially in urban environments, where buildings are close, you can pick the tone of the walls from the facade of the building across the street. This way, the interior seems to continue outdoors, and the space feels larger than it is. If there’s a sharp contrast between indoor and outdoor spaces, the home feels disconnected from its surroundings and often smaller. As a designer, I aim to create enduring color schemes that don’t need to be updated with trends. A timeless color scheme is always a continuation of its environment."

Choose a Consistent Temperature for Colors
"When the different rooms in your home form a cohesive whole, the space often feels larger than its actual size. The result becomes balanced when the paint tones in various rooms have the same color temperature. Essentially, a harmonious color palette is built around either cool or warm tones."

Light Colors for Dark Corners
"Small and dark corners of your home expand when you choose a paint color that is a couple of shades lighter than in larger, brighter rooms."

Favor Neighboring Colors
"The color of the walls or ceiling is not something separate from the rest of the decor. Everything in the room affects the spatial experience. A harmonious color scheme calms and creates unity, even when the space is filled with many items. With neighboring colors, even a crowded environment can appear visually balanced. For example, if you have many yellowed wooden furniture pieces, the overall look becomes peaceful when you stick to varying shades of yellow throughout the decor. In this case, even the walls are painted with a hue tinted with yellow."
