Bathroom furniture

You can buy our bathroom vanities either directly from our Curated Collection or personalise the product yourself in the bathroom vanity Configurator Shop.

Our architects have designed our bathroom vanities as complete sets to make the purchase easy. The bathroom vanities consist of doors, sidepanels, stonetop, sink, tap, handles and legs.
You can easily personalise your bathroom vanity by exploring different models, styles, colours etc. in the Configurator Shop.

The delivery time for our bathroom products is normally 5-7 weeks.

All our doors and panels are made to order.

When your products are ready to be shipped, our logistics partner will contact you to agree on an exact delivery time.

We ship all the products in same shipment to avoid extra hazzle with multiple orders.

Our bathroom furniture is built on top of IKEA METOD frames. In addition, you will buy drawers, hinges and wall mounting rail from IKEA. You will receive a complete shopping list of the needed IKEA products to your e-mail together with the order confirmation.

From A.S.Helsingö, you will buy all the visible parts: doors, sidepanels, stonetop, sink, mixer tap, handles and legs.

A.S.Helsingö bathroom vanities always come with a tap connector, a water trap and a strainer that fit into our products. However, as every bathroom is unique, you might need to supplement the vanity with additional pipe connectors. You can get these from your licensed plumber who you need to hire in order for the standard warranty on your bathroom vanity to apply.

Our bathroom vanities fulfill all the current bathroom standards. However, the bathroom vanities should not be placed in direct contact with water. To avoid moisture penetrating any joints, you should always place your bathroom vanity at a sufficient distance from your shower, bathtub etc. to prevent them from splashing water. If your bathroom vanity gets wet, it should be immediately wipedried with a dry cloth.

It is also very important that you have a proper air conditioning that controls the humidity in your bathroom so that it maintains an approved level. Too high humidity can expose your bathroom furniture to stresses that are not considered to fall within our recommendations.

IKEA currently recommends METOD frames for kitchens and utility rooms. However, we know that frames similar to METOD frames are used by many other players in the industry, which is why they are also suitable for bathrooms.
However, as with all bathroom furniture, our bathroom furniture should be installed at a sufficient distance from the shower, bath, etc., so that water does not repeatedly splash on them. If the product gets wet, it must be dried immediately.
By following our installation and care instructions, our bathroom furniture meet the same standards as many other product in the industry.

It is also very important that you have a proper air conditioning that controls the humidity in your bathroom so that it maintains an approved level. Too high humidity can expose your bathroom furniture to stresses that are not considered to fall within our recommendations.

Yes, bathroom furniture should be attached to the wall. We recommend to use IKEA wall mounting rail that is included in the IKEA shopping list as part of your order confirmation email. Follow IKEA assembly instructions for the wall mounting rail.

Our architects have designed the bathroom vanities in a way that everything fits perfectly together so that you do not need to find and buy products separately from multiple locations. Hence, we always sell our vanities as complete sets including tap, sink and stonetop

We always recommend to use authorised service provider and licensed plumber to perform the installation of your products in order that the general product warranties apply. You will get detailed installation guides for the bathroom vanity installation with of your order. If you have lost it, no problem, you can find the installation guide also here.

Handles

The delivery time for our handles is approximately 7 business days from the order date. However, if you order a kitchen, wardrobe or sideboard, all elements of your fixtures or furniture are delivered simultaneously. In this case, the delivery time is approximately 5-7 weeks from the order date.

The handles always come with mounting instructions. In the instructions, you'll find our recommendation for the placement of the knobs. However, since there aren't any pre-drilled holes in the doors, you can choose the spot freely according to your preference.

Typically, the handles are installed in the direction you open the doors. However, you can also install the doorknobs in the centre of the doors – it's simply a matter of taste and style you wish to achieve.

Drilling the holes

If you drill the holes yourself, we recommend placing a piece of wood behind the front to prevent the backside from chipping.

Installation video

You can see step-by-step instructions on installing handles from our sideboard assembly video. The same technique applies whether you're installing handles to kitchen cabinets, wardrobe fronts or sideboard fronts.

There aren’t pre-drilled holes, so you can install the handles where you think they look best.

We think materials that age naturally are beautiful, which is why we leave our brass and copper handles untreated, and they develop a patina over time. However, if you want to clean your handles, you can polish them with a metal polish, which you can buy at your local hardware store.

There are many great options available if you don’t want handles. You can choose between our push-open mechanism, extra-long doors, and Samsö doors.

The push-open mechanism is installed inside the doors, giving you a very sleek look. You open and close the doors by gently pressing on them.

Another good choice is our extra-long doors in the Ingarö model. The doors are meant for upper wall cabinets and are 5 cm longer than the frame from the lower side. The extra length allows them to work as handleless kitchen doors, but they also cover lights and power sockets.

The third option is our elegant Samsö model that has integrated handles.

IKEA also has push-to-open drawers that work the same way as our push-open mechanism.

Furniture Legs

The delivery time for our furniture legs is approximately 7 business days from the order date. However, if you order a kitchen, wardrobe or sideboard, all elements of your fixtures or furniture are delivered simultaneously. In this case, the delivery time is approximately 5-7 weeks from the order date.

Our furniture legs always come with mounting instructions. In the instructions, you'll find our recommendation for the placement of the legs but you can also choose to install them where you think they look best.

Kindly also note that you need to mount the furniture to the wall for safety reasons.

We think materials that age naturally are beautiful, which is why we leave our brass and copper legs untreated, similarly to our handles. For this reason, they develop a patina over time. However, as you don't touch legs as often as handles, the patina doesn't form the same way in the legs as in doorknobs. If you want to clean the legs, you can polish them with a metal polish, which you can buy at your local hardware store.

You can install our furniture legs on other pieces of furniture that aren't from A.S.Helsingö. However, kindly note that you need to mount the furniture to the wall for safety reasons.

Norway

Denmark

The time from measuring to mounting worktops is approximately 2 weeks for all of our worktops except for Colonial White. The delivery time for this one is 4–8 weeks.

We recommend ordering the worktop simultaneously as your A.S.Helsingö kitchen to ensure you receive it on time.

When choosing the material for your worktop, it's essential to consider what kind of space the worktop will be used in and how you want to use it.

A ceramic worktop is the most durable choice. It's perfect for areas that are regularly affected by food spills and splashes.

Quartz is also a resistant material and a good choice for kitchen worktops. It's not affected by acid foods and is relatively scratch-resistant. The only difference between ceramic and quartz worktops is that quartz isn't heat resistant.

Granite is a natural stone. It's durable but porous, which means it needs occasional maintenance. You can't see spills and splashes on our Absolute Black Leather granite worktops. The Colonial White granite worktop has a sealer that protects it.

Marble worktops look incredible and are a stunning choice for your home. However, it's important to remember that marble is the softest stone material. Any oily, acidic, or colourful foods may leave permanent marks on your worktop. If you embrace the patina as a design feature, marble countertops are incredible.

Our partner takes care of the measuring and installation of your worktop. You’ll get additional information about the practicalities when you place your order.

It’s important to take care of your worktop with the correct cleaning methods. Below you’ll find instructions on how to take care of worktops in the different materials we offer.

Ceramic

We recommend that you clean ceramic worktops daily with mild, ph-neutral dish detergent and warm water. Dilute 1 tsp. detergent in 1 litre of water, and then wipe it with a soft, microfiber cloth. Do not use acidic detergents or bleach.

Ceramic worktops are very scratch and heat resistant, which means that you can even put a hot pan on it.

Quartz

We recommend that you clean quartz worktops daily with mild, ph-neutral dish detergent and warm water. Dilute 1 tsp. detergent in 1 litre of water, and then wipe it with a soft, microfiber cloth. Do not use acidic detergents or bleach. You can also use a specific detergent meant for quartz on more persistent stains. The surface may scratch if you use abrasive detergents or sponges.

Quartz can crack if it’s subjected to heat, so always use potholders on quartz worktops.

Granite

We recommend that you clean granite worktops daily with mild, ph-neutral dish detergent and warm water. Dilute 1 tsp. detergent to 1 litre of water, and then wipe it with a soft, microfiber cloth. Do not use acidic detergents or bleach. You can also use a specific detergent meant for natural stones on more persistent stains. Avoid detergents with acids or bleach. The surface may scratch if you use abrasive detergents or sponges.

Prevention is the key to maintaining the shine of your granite worktop. Always wipe out any spills and splashes that might dull the surface. We recommend that you use cutting boards and potholders to keep the surface beautiful and shiny longer. The Colonial White granite worktop doesn't need to be resealed.

Marble

The key to keeping your marble worktop in good condition is prevention. Always wipe spills and splashes immediately. You can do the daily cleaning with mild, ph-neutral dish detergent and warm water. Dilute 1 tsp. detergent to 1 litre of water, and then wipe it with a soft, microfibre cloth. Never use harsh cleaners such as vinegar or ammonium-based detergents, or any abrasive, scouring products that can scratch the surface. If you have a persistent stain on the worktop, you can use a specific detergent for marble.

Always use cutting boards and potholders on marble worktops. Kindly note that, even with diligent cleaning, marble might stain, and the colour of your worktop might change over time. The impregnating sealer on marble worktops needs to be renewed at least once a year.

Milieu paint

Milieu paint is a revolutionary interior paint that is exceptionally ecological, making it a safe choice for you and the environment. It's a premium paint that's emission- and preservative-free. In addition, Milieu paint is allergen-free and completely odourless, making it suitable for everyone, even the most sensitive. It has been developed in cooperation with the Allergy, Skin and Asthma Federation and awarded the Allergy Label.

Acrylic is the main binder in Milieu paint. Using acrylic as a binder enabled us to create a paint that's both exceptionally ecological and emission-free. It also makes the paint washable and very durable.

VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compounds, which are gases emitted into the air from certain solids and liquids, e.g. paint, as they dry. They can continue to release into the air for months after you have finished painting and are harmful to our health and the environment. High VOC levels are normal for paints, but Milieu is a Zero VOC paint with an exceptionally low VOC value (less than 1g/liter).

Milieu paints are manufactured using an innovative method where, instead of adding preservatives, the paint is preserved by using a precise formula and a natural preservation process. This is also one of the reasons why Milieu's VOC level is exceptionally low.

Milieu paint is produced in Finland.

One 4 litre pot of Milieu paint covers 30–40m² (one coat). You can also use our paint calculator to count how much paint you need for your project. You'll find the paint calculator by clicking any shade on our colour chart.

The Milieu colors are designed by our designers and architects. Hence, they don’t have NCS codes.

Milieu paint is suitable for board, wallpaper, plaster, and concrete surfaces.

Yes you can, as Milieu paint is also suitable for wooden surfaces.

The Milieu shades are designed to match our existing kitchen, wardrobe, and sideboard colours. However, the colours are never an exact match because the gloss level of Milieu paints and paint used for our kitchens and storage units is different. Also, the painting technique and surfaces are different, which affects the finish.

Milieu painting supplies

We have put together a high-quality 9-piece supply set to make painting as easy as possible for you and to ensure that you achieve a beautiful result.

The Essentials Kit contains all the supplies you need for painting a single wall, a whole room, or a ceiling. It includes a big and small roller, roller frames for them, an extension pole, a paintbrush, painter’s tape, self-adhesive masking paper, and a paint tray.

We have also put together a smaller 5-piece kit containing everything your friend needs when helping you out. The Support Kit is also perfect for executing the smaller painting projects in your home. It contains a big roller and a frame for it, painter’s tape, a brush, and a paint tray.

Our paint supplies have been developed explicitly for Milieu paints together with painting professionals to achieve the best outcome.

High-quality painting supplies are key to a beautiful result. Poor quality supplies and the wrong kind of supplies can ruin the outcome, even if the paint is high-quality. The longevity of the supplies is also worth considering, as it is with all purchases you make. Correctly maintained, high-quality painting supplies can be used for years, saving both money and effort in future projects, as well as natural resources.

Our painting supplies are designed to last. As long as you wash them properly and take good care of them, you can use them for years.
