Visiting Mendera's new space: Vintage and hand-blown glass

We stopped by Mendera, the cozy little vintage shop where hand-blown glass meets one-of-a-kind treasures. The space instantly feels inviting, and every piece pops beautifully against the soft Ivory Beige from Milieu. It’s the kind of place where you just want to linger, explore, and get inspired by the thoughtful details everywhere.

Sitting down with Melli, the friendly soul behind Mendera, was an absolute treat. We chatted about her new shop, the pieces she loves, and the little choices that make the space so special.

What makes Mendera unique?

"As a selection I tend to focus in mostly handblown glass which makes those pieces pretty unique as they are crafted"

Which hue did you choose from Milieu and why?

"I chose the Ivory Beige because I wanted something that works as a warm but still quite neutral background because I have a lot of colourful pieces. The colour also suited really well with this tile floor that was already in the space so it was a good match!"

What is your current favorite piece?

"My favorite piece would be this chandelier by Angelo Mangiarotti for Vistosi. I love how each piece is hand blown and you can assemble it as you wish. You can make it unsymmetrical or symmetrical so I think it's a really fun piece."
